As part of our ongoing B+ Corner initiative in Hong Kong, AROMASE Hong Kong team recently spent a meaningful afternoon with the residents of the Guo Yuzhang Mrs. Nursing Home at Jen Tze Hospital (仁濟醫院郭玉章夫人護理安老院), bringing a blend of creativity, sustainability, and heartfelt companionship.

Creating Joy Through Simple Moments

Armed with love, imagination, and a few empty bottles of our 5α Juniper Scalp Purifying Liquid Shampoo, our team transformed recyclables into a handmade “rolling ball game.” This DIY game box became the centerpiece of the day — a playful and accessible activity that turned heads and warmed hearts.

While the game itself was easy to assemble, it offered a fun and surprisingly challenging experience for seniors aged 80 to 90. The goal was simple: roll a small ball into one of several holes on the board. But with every successful roll, laughter filled the room, and proud smiles lit up the faces of the participants. The joy was contagious.

For many of these elderly residents, especially those living in long-term care, meaningful interaction and stimulation are rare. This small but thoughtful game brought not only entertainment but also emotional connection — between seniors, AROMASE staff, and even caregivers who cheered from the sidelines. It reminded us all that it doesn’t take much to brighten someone’s day.

Supporting Caregivers and Sustaining Impact

Beyond bringing joy to seniors, this initiative also gave caregivers a precious moment to relax and release stress. While volunteers engaged with the residents, caregivers had the chance to take a breather — to rest, observe, and recharge. Supporting those who care for others has always been a vital part of our mission of AROMASE caregiver support program.

During this event, we deepened our commitment to sustainability by embracing the art of upcycling. An empty shampoo bottle was transformed into a vessel for creativity and fun, demonstrating how AROMASE sustainability efforts seamlessly align with meaningful social impact.
